Hotels in Venice

Frankly speaking it’s not a very easy task to choose a hotel in Venice. Sometimes just plain luck and not your search skills may bring the result.

For example, I was searching for a hotel during a few weeks but never came across ours called Becher Hotel. But as soon as I saw it I immediately booked it. And it wasn’t a mistake! The hotel located not far from St. Mark’s Square offers superior quality and luxury rooms. It’s a fantastic place to stay in!

The great advantage of the hotel was not too high price for Venice. As far as I know they have raised the prices since then. But it is better to check it here:

Among the disadvantages are quite miserable breakfast and the room door that rattled every time when someone passed by in the hall. I hope they have made necessary improvements. You may regard this as my hotel review. Now let’s return to Venice itself.

First of all you should decide if you are going to stay in the city or in the suburb Mestre.
Differences in price and quality may occur considerable! There is a good transport connection between Venice and Mestre and it will take you around 45 minutes to get to the city and back.

But take into account that Venice is the best place to feel wonderful and unique atmosphere. You will probably feel the desire to go to your room during the day and to dress nice for a nice dinner. Then late at night after a night walk around Venice come back to the hotel room decorated with Venetian fabric.

All these things may be of great advantage to you. Nevertheless there are a number of disadvantages and the main one is the price. In Venice the best hotels are expensive. High price is usually caused by demand and low supply. If you do not hesitate over the price the only thing to take into account is location of the hotel relative to the Grand Canal and any other Vaporetto station. It is hardly possible to travel around Venice with suitcases. Besides, the local water taxi costs around 60 euro per short trip!

If you have a limited budget pay attention to the following things:

– There are a lot of hotels in Venice that were built in the 13th century and the last reconstruction was done in the 19th century. Pay attention to the room amenities. In Venice not all the hotels provide all facilities and amenities;

– Also take into account proximity to the tourist attractions. It may turn out that though the hotel is located in Venice the nearest place to visit will be too far both to walk and to drive to.

And again I recommend that you should take into account traveller reviews as the major principle for all web resources is to give their visitors an opportunity to read as many reviews as possible.

I would be glad if you start the search with the following link

This resource always offers a wide choice of excellent variants.
